Course Overview

A new era of endodontics is in the making with the advances in endodontic instruments and materials and this course will cover their recent advances with special emphasis on their clinical advantages and disadvantages and their usage. Theoretical aspects will be covered in the lectures with technical aspects covered in hands on exercises and demonstrations. The aim of this course is to enable the participant to confidently diagnose and perform endodontic procedures understanding the biological principles utilizing the novel advances in endodontics.

Aims and Objectives;

At the conclusion of the course, participants should be able to

  1. Diagnose, plan and execute endodontic treatment.
  2. Identify and choose the right instruments and materials based on cases.
  3. Determine the length and width of root canal preparation.
  4. Choose when, how and with what to obturate.
  5. How to avoid and manage procedural accidents.

 

Participants are requested to bring at least 3 mounted extracted teeth with access opened (1 anterior, 1 premolar and 1 maxillary &/or mandibular molar) and one 3D printed molar will be provided by the organisers for hands on experience.
