Session Overview:
Would you love to see โToothacheโ in your daysheet and not cringe? Wouldnโt it be great to have a predictable and minimal way to reliable manage these situations? Today, the treatment of pulpal tissue has undergone the same minimal intervention shift that has long been part of general restorative protocols to prolong the function of the patientโs dentition. International bodies now recognise the wide spectrum of presentations of pulpitis that are able to be preserved and managed more conservatively. The availability of materials & other technologies that allow for us to repair/regenerate dental pulpal tissues has been integral in that mind shift, hence the exploration of Bioceramics & Lasers in restorative dentistry has come to the forefront. This presentation will explore bioceramics & technologies in general practice and their various applications and give the attendee a chance to try Bioceramics.
This course will present you with the current standpoint for managing pulpitis as well as the material and protocol options. You will exposed to Emergency Management for pulpal pain as well as long term caries & pain management.
Learning Objectives:
- Understand the current definitions of pulpitis.
- Understand the options available with use of materials and lasers.
- Understand the unique chemistry of bioceramics and their interactions with dental tissue.
- Identify the properties of bioceramics which make them advantageous for use in general practice.
- Distinguish between the different bioceramics available and how to apply them to general practice.
