Improving your core strength – going with the Flow

Presented by Professor Ian Meyers and Dr. Yo-Han Choi

On Demand Webinar!

CPD: 1 point

Session Overview:

Fibre reinforced restorative materials have a multitude of uses in restorative dentistry, and they greatly enhance the options available for replacing missing teeth and strengthening weakened teeth. Resin impregnated glass fibres provide strength for constructing cost effective, aesthetic and functional fibre reinforced adhesive bridges, and short fibre reinforced composites (SFRC) provide an ideal material for reinforcing teeth. The short fibres in EverX Flow have an Optimal Aspect Ratio which provides extremely high fracture toughness, which is known to be the best indicator restoration longevity. EverX Flow is therefore particularly effective for restoring badly broken down and endodontically treated teeth and creates an exceptionally strong foundation for these teeth for enhances longevity. This webinar will look at the use of fibres in dentistry and demonstrate the advantages of these materials through a range of clinical cases.

Learning Objectives:

• The evolution of fibre reinforced materials and selecting the appropriate material
• Clinical cases demonstrating applications and advantages of fibre reinforced materials
• Internal reinforcement and improving the structural integrity of teeth with EverX Flow
• Making restorations easier for both direct and indirect cases
• The ‘Wallpapering’ technique for endodontically treated teeth
• Where to from here, what’s next with fibres
