Cleaning Suction Lines

Cleaning suction lines – a practical approach

By Emeritus Professor Laurence J. Walsh AO

A dental suction system is designed to remove saliva, blood, remnants of dental hard tissue and dental materials and debris generated during clinical procedures from the mouth. This article outlines the science and practical considerations that support the proper treatment of dental suction lines, regardless of the nature of the dental service.
